What is voip?
Voip, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is
the routing of voice conversations over the
Internet or through any other IP-based
network.
VoIP protocols are used to carry voice
signals over the IP network are commonly
referred to as Voice over IP or VoIP
protocols. The technology enables
people to use the Internet as the
transmission medium for telephone calls.
Voice data is sent in packets through your
high-speed Internet connection rather than
by traditional POTS lines (Plain Old
Telephone Service). Voip is significantly
less expensive than typical telephone long
distance packages, plus one high speed
Internet connection can serve for multiple
phone lines with no loss in functionality,
reliability, or voice quality.
Can I fax with voip?
Faxing and other modem transmissions do not work on VOIP
for now. We do have a fax solution to both send

existing fax line. Visit

Yes we have E911 service.

In n some cases VOIP sounds better than your old phone
service. You will make calls using any existing
telephone and not tell the difference in dialing our
sound.
Can I use a My answering machine, PBX or phone system?
Yes our analog telephone adapters fully simulates a
phone line including dial tone so you may use a phone
system, PBX, or your own answering machine.
Can I use my own VOIP adapter?
No you will use our adapter but you can use any phone
you now own. Below are pictures of the two
adapters we use.

How many lines may I have and can they hunt or roll?
You may have as many VOIP lines as you want and
they can be members of a hunt or roll over group.
May I have a phone number from a different state than my
home state?
You may have a phone number from a state where you do
not reside. This can create a local number to
appear a local business or to allow friends to call you
as a local call. Also you may have more than one
phone number ring to a single VOIP line with up to two
numbers free.
Do you have an affiliate program?
Yes, please contact us at
voip@allmedia.com
for details.
Will it work on a dial up?
You need broadband Internet of any kind, DSL or Cable
for example and at least 90 Kbps of bandwidht.
Most broadband connections are over 1000Kbps.
How much bandwidth does VOIP use?
It only uses bandwidth when there is an active phone
call and that is 72 Kbps. You can divide your
Internet upload speed by 72 to discover how many VOIP
lines you can support.
